Prompt #43 – Planet

A steel-colored orb broke the surface of the waves and slowly rose out of the water. The water lapped furiously at the sphere, as if trying to pull it back in. But the ball paid it no heed, and continued to float upwards, until it was floating over the surface of the water. The ocean began to recede until it disappeared into the dark recesses of space, leaving the sphere alone in the dark sky. A new planet was born.
